Description
Cylindrical ‘De Fornase’ oblong drop vase. Characteristic work of the Murano furnaces with its coloured glass design To create the vase, Maestro Amadi rolls the molten glass, collected from the crucible using a perforated rod, then blows it into wafer-thin silver leaf and numerous small fragments of coloured glass; these, as they melt, adhere perfectly to the surface.
